Ken is considered by many to be the master sales trainer in media. He was honored by the Radio Advertising Bureau as “The Dean of Radio Sales Trainers.” He pioneered formal sales training in radio, television and cablevision. His work with interactive video tape has resulted in two of the top selling training courses in the industry. All this followed a successful career as part owner and President of Swanson Broadcasting.
His lifelong study of the psychology of selling led to further study of social psychology. He was, for several years, Head of the Communications Department at the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A lifelong love of hunting and fishing took him into the study of ecology and the natural world. Here again, he has received many honors including the NatureWorks Wildlife Stewardship Award, the Conservation Service Award from Ducks Unlimited and the Communicator of the Year Award from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. He served 2-1/2 years as the Director of development of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Nature Conservancy and ten years as the volunteer Executive Director of the NatureWorks Wildlife Art Show and Sale in Tulsa during which time it became recognized as one of the top five wildlife art shows in the U.S.
This is his fifth published book, following the sold out edition of High Performance Selling, Seven Strategies for High Performance Selling, High Performance Leadership and Casting For Value.
